SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS
Please instruct all personnel using the Steamshine™/Jewelshine® unit, to read this Owner's Manual, in order to insure safe operation of the unit: do not allow anyone to operate the unit unless they have been instructed. Install the unit on a solid table or surface.
Install the Steamshine™'s Foot Switch in a place where it will not be accidentally touched.
Service for Steamshine™ or Jewelshine® can be done only by authorized representatives of CD Nelson Manufacturing & Supply Co. Service by anyone else may result in property damage or personal injury, and it will void the warranty.
There are no user-serviceable parts on or inside Steamshine™/Jewelshine® units.
UNPACKING
At the factory, your Steamshine™/Jewelshine® unit was carefully manufactured, assembled, tested, inspected, and packaged. In the event of visible or concealed damage:
- Do Not Attempt To Use The Unit;
- Immediately
- Notify The Shipping Company
- Notify CD Nelson Mfg. & Supply Co.
- Save The Box In Which The Unit Arrived
INITIAL INSTALLATION
Find a stable, solid surface for your Steamshine™/Jewelshine® unit, preferably near the polishing/cleaning area, placing the Foot Switch where it will not be accidentally pressed.
The Steam Jet Nozzle should be placed above a sink or a Splash Pan, to collect the condensation created in the cleaning process. Splash Pans are specially designed for reducing splash-back: see the Steamshine™ literature for details.
Plug the unit in any standard GROUNDED and GFI protected electrical outlet, 120 V / 220 V, 15 Amps. Modification of the product in any way can be done ONLY AT THE FACTORY
WARNINGS
- NEVER ADD WATER TO A HOT STEAMSHINE™ UNIT
- DO NOT USE, OR LEAVE THE UNIT ON, WHEN EMPTY
- DO NOT OPEN ANY VALVES WHEN UNIT IS PRESSURIZED
- DO NOT TOUCH THE UNIT WHEN HOT
- WHEN THE STEAMSHINE™ IS LOW IN WATER, PRESSURE DROPS QUICKLY
- AVOID CONTACT WITH HOT UNIT, AS SEVERE BURNS MAY RESULT
- ALL MODELS MUST BE FILLED WITH WATER DAILY
- ALL UNITS MUST BE CLEANED AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR, EVEN WHEN DE-IONIZED DISTILLED WATER IS USED
- ALL UNITS MUST BE PLUGGED ONLY IN GROUNDED ELECTRICAL OUTLETS WITH GROUND FAULT INTERRUPTERS
